O’Dea admits Celtic players need dose of reality

Darren O'Dea has slammed Celtic's performances against Rangers this season.

Sunday's Old Firm defeat left the Hoops fan fuming.

The defender told the Celtic View: "Some players would like to shut off from it but I think the only way to understand it is to listen to everything.

"That includes sitting in the changing-room and listening to the Rangers fans. If you don't win the league you are going to have to listen to it for another year.

"You need to accept it and be big enough to put it right. This year, so far, we have not been doing that.

"It's unacceptable to be losing to Rangers the way we are and the players can't forget what you are leaving behind. But, to be fair, I don't think any of them will. Celtic won't be out of their thoughts and such a disappointing defeat against Rangers is not something they can forget quickly.

"There are still games to be played and we need to forget about the points gap. It's just a case of winning every game possible to give something back to the fans and ourselves as we have all worked so hard."
