North Queensland Fury’s Ufuk Talay says he is ready to return to A-League action.

The 33-year old midfielder in back in full training and has been cleared to play by club medical staff after tearing his calf in late April.

Talay has been frustrated by the injury since but now feels he is working his way towards full fitness and is eyeing selection for the Melbourne Victory clash this weekend.

''It's going well ... hopefully I'll be up for selection this week,'' he said.

''I think it's been close to three months now since I have been injured and I have just been dying watching the boys on the park and not being able to kick a ball.

''So I am really looking forward to getting through the week and hopefully not getting any niggling injuries again and playing on the weekend.

''If things go well, I think it really comes down to the gaffer (Ferguson) and deciding if he wants to play me or not,'' he added.

''Look, I'll be working hard this week, obviously you want to be up for selection for playing against Melbourne and hopefully everything goes well.''
