Notts County swoop for Birmingham teenager

Notts County have signed Birmingham youngster Jake Jervis.

The highly-rated 18-year-old has arrived at Meadow Lane in time for Saturday's League One opener with Huddersfield and will spend six months on loan with Craig Short's men.

Jervis is expected to provide cover for the injured Luke Rodgers, offering back-up to the first-choice duo of Ben Burgess and Lee Hughes.
