Notts County boss approaching League One season with confidence
Boss Craig Short insists Notts County fear no-one in League One this season.
"While we have got to respect this division, we don't have to have any trepidation about playing in it," said Short, who took over at Meadow Lane this summer after Steve Cotterill declined the offer of a new deal.
"The team Neil Warnock took up went bang, bang. A lot of teams have done it so we will have a good go at it and not be afraid of any team we play.
"The players know they are stepping up a league but they are confident they can cope with it, and so am I. The squad is pretty strong and there is a lot of confidence and momentum in it too, which I want to keep going and build on.
"It is a great starting point for me, coming in. I am not taking over a club that is struggling or players who are lacking confidence."
