North Queensland rush in goalkeeper Ham
North Queensland Fury have added goalkeeper Matthew Ham on a short-term injury replacement deal.
The 26-year old former Queensland Roar squad player, has been rushed in to replace the injured Justin Pasfield and will be on the substitutes bench tomorrow against Sydney FC.
''I'm very happy, it's come as a bit of surprise, a shock – I have done my share of hard work and at least something has paid off,'' Ham said.
''It will be good to come home ... and represent my home town, which has always been a dream.
''I won't be playing straight up, but I'm sure I can hold my own at training,'' he added.
''Hopefully, I can show I am worthy of this level (and) it would be good to train with the likes of Robbie Fowler – how often do you get that?''
Brisbane-based Ham had been playing for Olympic in the State League, while also training with the Roar and Gold Coast United.
