North Queensland Fury trying to mix entertainment with results
North Queensland Fury striker David Williams understands the team needs to worry about results as well as providing entertainment for the fans.
The speedy 22-year old and his teammates are preparing for their round 4 clash with Adelaide United at Dairy Farmers Stadium on Saturday and he hopes the Fury can keep all 11 players on the pitch this week.
Last Sunday saw the Townsville club somehow force a 2-2 draw with the Melbourne Victory with nine men and although the game was exciting, Williams knows that positive results are the main goal.
"I think we ran the game in the first 25-30 minutes and it would've been interesting (with 11 men). We were all ready to go and we had a good feeling about it before the game, it's just unfortunate, but that's football and you just have to accept it and just worry about what's next to come," he told the Townsville Bulletin.
"We got through it but hopefully we won't have too many more of those type of games. Apparently it was all exciting and great for people to watch, so we're here to entertain but also do our job on the field.
"That's probably the biggest amount of drama that's happened in a game that I've been involved with, so it was very nerve-wracking there being on the bench for the last few minutes."
The 2nd-placed Fury meet the 3rd-placed Reds this Saturday at Dairy Farmers Stadium – kick-off is at 5:15pm.
