North Queensland Fury to investigate Akoto red card

North Queensland Fury officials will look further into the red card handed to defender Eric Akoto in yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Melbourne Victory.
The Togo international was sent from the pitch in the 82nd minute for pushing Victory skipper Kevin Muscat and the Fury want to look into the matter as they feel the judgment made by referee Chris Boyle was too harsh.
It is believed Akoto reacted to a number of insults thrown at him and a number of players involved in the match, that don’t want to be named, confirmed that the 30-year old was visibly upset by some of the things that were said.
