North Queensland Fury’s Williams eyeing better home form this term
Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Wed, 08/11/2010 - 03:42
North Queensland Fury striker David Williams hopes the club can produce better results at home this season to help them into the A-League finals.
In the franchise’s first campaign, the Fury failed to make the most of a home ground advantage at Townsville’s Dairy Farmers Stadium which in the end cost them a place in the top six and Williams wants to rectify that beginning this Saturday against reigning champions Sydney FC.
''For us, it's a fortress, it's our home, so we can be comfortable here and do what we can,'' Williams told the Townsville Bulletin.
''When we step out on to Dairy Farmers, it's a great pitch, it's a great little stadium and I love playing here.
''I expect a lot more from this year than we did last year.''
