North Queensland Fury trialist Roy Krishna is impressing the right people as he strives to win an A-League contract.

The Fijian striker performed brilliantly in a trial match against Central Coast Mariners last week, prompting praise from Fury coach Ian Ferguson.

"He did very well," Ferguson said.

"The boy's got blinding pace – there's no doubt about that – if you leave him isolated and one-on-one I would say he is going to beat whoever he comes up against.

"Two or three times the Mariners actually had to drag him back because he was away from them, so he's got something."

In regards to adding him to their inaugural playing squad, Ferguson was non-committal.

"We're just having a look at him, there's nothing like that been mentioned to try and sign him – we just want to see what he's got,” he added.

"Maybe further down the line if he does well then we know he can come into the environment and play just in case we get one of the injured spots available."
