Fergie's dislike of Real Madrid has never been from a sporting point of view. It's the fact they they're constantly tapping up our players, which in it self is not a sporting thing to do. Come the summer you'll be wanting Rooney, Vidic and Evra - None of these are going to happen.

The reality is that football now is " big business " Those coming into clubs is not just there to play but to be involved in marketing as well. This why there is Beckham who light up TV screens from Murcia to La Corunna....Ronaldo the best showman of them all.....These guys are not just good players they are magnificent financial and commercial success....That is what sports is today.

Btw, indostaan, football is a business. It doesn't matter how much Ferguson hates Real Madrid if Real Madrid are willing to pay over the odds for United's players.
To stand in the way of great deals for Van Nistelrooy (25m euros) and Beckham (35m euros) and obviously Ronaldo's deal wouldn't make any business sense so they obviously allowed those deals regardless of the poor relationship between the clubs.
