Benitez: Leiva winning over Liverpool fans

Lucas for a long time has and will continue to be the weakest link in the Liverpool Team. Yes he has improved, but was so pathetic that his improvement is a no brainer, but bottom line remains that he is and never will be good enough. He doesn't understand pass and move, can't tackle (I've lost count of the number of free kicks in dangerous areas he has given away) isn't creative, can't pass, can't shoot and is carried by the rest of the team. His inclusion this season is the primary reason we are where we are. As much as I admire Benitez his inclusion has to be questioned. If you listen to players from our glorious past they all say the same - NOT GOOD ENOUGH. The sad thing is that we have alternatives - we can play gerard with Mash, Mash with Aquilani or even Spearing and put Pacheco / Bennayoun in the hole behind the striker. Come on you reds take out Arsenal - 2 points behind and third is ours for the taking......

So far this season he's been very average. Not completely crap but not particularly good either. He offers nothing going forward at all. He can't pick out a good forward pass, can't shoot and can't head at goal when given countless opportunities. I know he's a holding midfielder but he doesn't really DO an awful lot. He's not even very good in tackles. I think people are confusing not making many obvious mistakes with playing well. If he plays a simple short pass every time he gets the ball, that doesn't make him a good player.

To me he's been one of the most reliable players this season.

i dont thinks so...even he keep improving,there still a lot of mistake from him..example like krgiakos red card..coz of lucas lossing ball...i think many fans doesnt like lucas..he's a bad player liverpool have..u see,he juz passing,not creat a game,and make many foul outside penalty area..n..if u see..when liverpool get corner..he will be in the penalty area..but that doest help..if he can get the header,but its not into goal...but off target...obviosly, i dont like lucas and aquilani in midfield...should be sold them around 20m..aquilani 15m,lucas 7m....get hamsik, vander vart, sylva, misimovic of wolfsburg also look hav talent...jack collison of west ham also look make progress....hope liverpool get those of this player..
