Keane not trying to prove a point to Tottenham boss
Robbie Keane, currently on loan with Celtic, says he has nothing to prove to Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.
The Republic of Ireland striker was shipped out on loan during the transfer window, having seen his first-team chances limited at Tottenham.
"I'm not here to show anyone anything," he told Sky Sports.
"People know what kind of player I am, they know what I am capable of. I love playing games, that's why I am here, to get a few good months under my belt and get my head down.
"If you ask any player, he wants to play and be involved - that's the way people are and the way players are - but it wasn't to be."
He refused to criticise Redknapp but admitted it was hard sitting on the sidelines.
"I'm not the sort of person to sit on the bench and get my money, I like to play," he said.
"I don't want to wake up on Saturday morning knowing I am not playing, that come three o'clock I will be on the bench.
"It's very difficult for people to get up for games knowing you're on the bench. It's the same for any player."
