Sunderland boss Bruce upbeat over Henderson return

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is upbeat over Jordan Henderson's return from an ankle injury.

Bruce has confirmed Henderson is to have a scan on his injured ankle and expects the midfielder to be out for at least a month.

The 19-year-old picked up the injury in the second half of Saturday's 1-1 home Barclays Premier League draw with Wigan.

Henderson was carried off on a stretcher with what looked like a nasty ankle injury, shortly after he had set up the equalising goal for Kenwyne Jones.
