Birmingham boss McLeish: Two Davids will be good for West Ham

Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish believes the new regime at West Ham United will be good for the London club.

McLeish was brought to St Andrews by new Hammers owners David Gold and David Sullivan.

He said "They have all plunged right back into the deep end at West Ham but they're good at taking challenges on and they're good at cutting corners. When you read things in the papers it looks like there was a lot of excessive spending in certain areas that was unnecessary.

"So the two Davids and Karren (Brady) know exactly how to chop these things from their experience at Birmingham.

"I'm sure that they will look back at their experience at St Andrews and realise that they made some mistakes as well."
