Fulham pull plug on Okaka deal

Sky Sports News claims that Fulham have ended their efforts to sign Roma forward Stefano Okaka.

The Cottagers had been chasing the 20-year-old frontman for some time, and appeared to be closing in on a deal.

Boss Roy Hodgson was keen to take the youngster on loan for the remainder of the season after losing Bobby Zamora to a broken collarbone.

The Roma ace is believed to be carrying an injury which would prevent him from slipping straight into the first-team fold at Fulham.
