Noel Gallagher believes Manchester City fans will give Mark Hughes a huge welcome when he eventually returns to Eastlands.
Despite his Manchester United background, City mad Gallagher admits he was a huge fan of Hughes while he was in charge.
The Oasis frontman told TalkSport: “We loved him. I thought he was brilliant, I thought he was ultra professional and every time I went there…he kind of made us proud to be City fans again. He got up Fergie’s (Alex Ferguson) nose and it was all great and again it’s the end of a very short era and we are back to square on again.”
