Inter Milan face Zenit competition for Pandev

Inter Milan face a battle to land released Lazio striker Goran Pandev.

Pandev saw his contract with Lazio rescinded yesterday by a Lega Calcio tribunal and is now a free agent.

Inter are ready to snap him up, but could be trumped by Luciano Spalletti's Zenit St Petersburg.

Zenit are willing to offer a four-year contract worth £3 million-a-season - plus bonuses - to the Macedonia international.
