Cook is a lying 2-faced git, the Arabs should not have taken his advice.
They should have given Mark Hughes until the end of the season.

Come on Shay, join a proper top 4 club, with history and traditions!
I'll even cough up some of the fee myself ala MH!
Ooh ta ooh ta be, ooh ta be a Gooner!
When a club is not doing too well, whom should be sacked??? But i think Maccini is not the right person for the job.

a superstar manager does not mean acheiving superstar results. it may be that MH have been unfairly treated but thats how it is with big money clubs. Man city is trying to follow Chelsea's footsteps but results have shown otherwise. Of course the club has gotta find a scapegoat.. Who else better than the manager himself?
Bellamy always complains. What's new?
How was Hughes treated awfully? He was given plenty of chance, but his team was not performing up to the required standard for the kind of money that Man City was spending. Other coaches can and will be more successful with that project. There are very few teams who would have stood by Hughes for as long as City did, under the circumstances. Most would have fired him immediately and hired a superstar coach with their big moneybags.
Mancini knows that he can be sacked as Hughes too and i don't know why he accepted that chalenge! Disaster!
Really wouldn't be surprised if this is true, could see a few other team members wanting out after City's awful treatment of Hughes. A few of the papers over here {Ireland} have said that Given is considering his position as well.
