Celta Vigo return on for Blackburn striker McCarthy
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Tue, 12/15/2009 - 11:31
Blackburn Rovers striker Benni McCarthy is being linked with a return to Celta Vigo.
The Mirror says McCarthy is desperate for regular first-team football to boost his chances of starring for South Africa at this summer's World Cup in his homeland.
He is frustrated at slipping down the strikers' pecking order at Ewood Park and Sam Allardyce says he is prepared to listen to offers for him in January.
McCarthy's former club Celta Vigo are keen to take him back to Spain and Allardyce says he would let him go if he can get a replacement in.
