Ex-Arsenal stars Adams and Henry linked with NYRB

Former Arsenal defender Tony Adams is being closely linked with the coaching role at New York Red Bulls and it is believed he wants to bring his old teammate Thierry Henry with him.

The former Wycombe and Portsmouth manager is keen to get back into the coaching caper and it is believed that New York are prepared to give him the opportunity and could be a windfall for the club if Henry happens to tag along.

MLS sources says that Adams ‘knows Henry has in mind to finish his career in MLS’ and ‘nobody doubts that sooner or later he will play in MLS’.

If Henry is to come to New York, it will not be until after next year’s World Cup whereas Adams would take the reins at for the 2010 season.
