I don't have to pigeon hole myself into your warped definition of football, a fan, and what being a true fan is about. you sound like a clueless highschooler who needs to stick with his buddies and the cool group to have any sort of validation in his life. i thought people grow up. it's obvious your kind never does. if anyone has a pathetic life it's your kind. other's don't need to glorify themselves through delusional extremes as your types. really falling behind the evolutionary chain - once a *****, always a ***** a *****.
ok man i hope you wack off to jaglielka everyday. or who is ur superstar nowadays? joleon lescott..... u know one day you're gonna get urs ***** and it's gonna be so hard it'll rip you 17 new ones... no one gives a shit about your rhetoric or the reason why people are culturally "cued" into clubs... so ***** what???????????????
-Manchester City has a large fanbase in relation to its comparative lack of success on the pitch.
-In August 2006, the club became the first to be officially recognised as a "gay-friendly" employer by campaign group Stonewall (UK) (says a lot about your type.)
-A common stereotype is that City fans come from Manchester proper, while United fans come from elsewhere. A 2002 report by a researcher at Manchester Metropolitan University found that while it was true that a higher proportion of City season ticket holders came from Manchester postcode areas (40% compared to United's 29%), there were more United season ticket holders, the lower percentage being due to United's higher overall number of season ticket holders (27,667 compared to City's 16,481).
DEAL WITH IT!
You're a complete twat. How can you support a team that you never even been to watch, part of the reason people start supporting teams is because it brings together people in the community who are proud of their team.
You're probably one of those stupid yanks that is to clued up on how many corners utd have had in the second half of games. No one cares! Get a grip and support a local team that you can be truely passionate about.
Its obvious you don't really care about Utd because if you did you would have given up everything else in your pathetic life and moved to Manchester, bought a season ticket and support your team like a proper fan should (and if you really love them go to every away game(+Champs League) and cup finals).
By the way I met Vidic at Petrol Station and told him to ***** cos he's a *****, and he did, cos he gay, just like the rest of the utd squad. They all suck suck big willys. Speaking of imbreds, gary neville mum is also his sister and thats why he can't kick a ball straight.
additionally who the ***** are you to tell me what the ***** to do and who the ***** to support... i hope you die a slow death maybe that will lead to some enlightenment. you don't have to go to a home game to be a supporter. such little mind mentalities. it's not like i can cross the town and go to the match. bull shit spewer.
no offense but you're the biggest dumbass with the smallest little town mentality that i have ever come across........... the likes of you the quicker you are gone the better it is for the rest of the world.... so your mates aren't happy with supporters like me? who are they? go find a sheep and ***** it. all you all are ***** inbreds.
macheda & the boys torpedoes will sink ***** into the latrine....hahaha..WHAT THE f uC k u talkin whacko marko
4 years without a trophy is not a slide down the table! Im talking about the day that united become mid table contenders! You said yourself you have never stepped foot in Manchester, how can you then support a team you have never been to see?? You know nothing about what it is to support united. I have good friends who are united supporters and they also get really pissed off with the likes of you! You simply latched onto a successful and popular team. You said another reason you support united is beacuse you like the manager, what about when he goes? I couldn't give a shit who city's manager is, it doesn't make a difference, I support the club no matter what! You can never have a valid argument to make about your team if you have never even been to a home match! Thats just ridiculous! The worst part is, I ***** dispise united more than most things in this world and even I have been to more of their matches than you! Support a team you know, a team you can go an watch!
Criticize? Go read my posts under "Sir Alex". I did not criticize City once. In fact I praised them. Where do you even get off? I have never seen a rule, written or unwritten that says you can only support the team that exists in the town your from. First of all, it's a global game. Secondly, you cannot deny the appeal Manchester United has worldwide, whether how they've achieved that appeal is to your liking or not. The fact remains as individuals you are free to choose who and whatever cause they believe in. I have never supported United just because they win. If I was such a glory hunter then why wouldn't I just jump ship to Barcelona, or Real Madrid, when they have all the world class players, and essentially no one is even going to catch Real Madrid's "Nine European trophies", or "31 something league trophies" anytime soon. That being said, although your argument is invalid, bias, and only applies to the people on Manchester, I'll indulge you further.
What I like about United is their team culture, their manager, how they fight till the end. Yes, you can be from Manchester and City appeals to you more because maybe it is closer to the culture in your city - that I don't know, I have never even stepped foot in Manchester. But your argument is invalid, because if that were the case, supporting and following teams, irrespective of them being Manchester United, AC Milan, or Real Madrid, would be only limited to people of Manchester, Milan, and Madrid respectively.
You're saying I won't support United if they slip down the table? Well, I did support United when they had their little blip - 2003-2007. Four years without a major trophy and even crashing out of the champions league in the group stages is a long time for a "glory-hunting" fan. To each, his own. Secondly, I never wavered during that time. Great teams, do have blips and their periods come to and end. Yes, of course you are right in that respect. But if that were the case, I could have easily jumped over to Chelsea and supported them. They were indubitably the strongest team during that period, and had incredible amounts of cash injection, something that is happening at city too, as we speak. So you don't only come off as hypocritical, but authoritarian, setting rules, boundaries and laws for which team you can and cannot support - pretty close to fascist if you ask me. Last time I checked it was a free world.
Perhaps, your situation is that you live in such a world that you can only support teams that are from your city. Well good for you. Wake up, it's a global world. The internet that you use, well you're only using it because someone in Seattle came up with the technology. The games you get to see on your tele, well that was also an invention that I am sure is not only limited to Manchester. So wake up, understand the effects of globalization, economy, trade, and technology. Think before you speak. You want to support City because you think it coincides well with who you are as an individual, because it is the only thing you know being a "citizen" of Manchester, well then I am truly happy for you, terrific!
But the course of history changes through certain events. You cannot cry when that happens, because that is history. When 9/11 happened the world changed. We are still feeling those effects. Globalization, increasing paranoia, and security to avert that threat. Events transpire and the world changes. When the Munich disaster happened, a team consisting of numerous brilliant, young and talented lads were lost to the world forever. That struck a cord in the heart of the world, and from that Manchester United has gained many times over. Their appeal globally is now enormous. Those are the facts, so face it. What I might do in the future when as you say Manchester United will slip down the table, when their time comes, well that's for me to decide. I don't feel I need to be guided by the rules in the world that you live in, and I am happy for that. But your opinion is your own. Do the people of City and United represent the Manchester clubs? No. How many foreigners are in each team? At least 60% + and I am being conservative. You my friend should really think before you speak and open your eyes. If you need culture to keep you happy, well that is your life. But you are not fit to judge how other people conduct their lives, and just because you know what keeps you ticking over doesn't give you any insight, knowledge or the right to judge other people's lives, comparing it to your own. Wake up.
Do you even play sports? Football is a sport. Sportsmen all have virtues, that is why I follow football and Manchester United Football Club. Because of the excellent standards they have set especially during Sir Alex Ferguson's tenure. If you knew anything about any sport, you would know that aside from putting in the hard work, and the talent you may or may not have been blessed with, the ultimate goal is to win, and when I say win, it's to win fairly. Have you ever followed a team that loses? Do you set your idols as Joe Bloggs or Pele, Maradona, George Best, and from this generation Zidane and Luiz Ronaldo, or Messi, Kaka, and Cristiano Ronaldo? No one champions an underperforming, unambitious, and unsuccessful club from Division 3, unless they have some sort of stake in it - money, family, heritage. That's you right there, your supporting City because you are a citizen. Good for you. I applaud you. But you sound a lot like Hitler, when he said all Jews should be killed, when you say THAT is what football is about. Is it? Is it? I don't think so. I don't think so. And I am sure there are literally millions of fans worldwide who would be quicker to agree with what I say then what you say, little man, with a very little mentality.
I wish for your sake that you lived during an epoch where knights were suited in armor, and feudalism was at it's peak, because it still seems to run strongly in your blood. Be human, but try and cultivate the best qualities in yourself, not the worst. I hope life teaches you more and more everyday.
So you are saying it is not strange to support a team whos home is hundreds of miles away from your own? If your from London, Essex, Dublin, Africa etc and you support united, what is your reason? There can only be one and that is because they win. That is NOT what being a football fan is about. Being a football fan is about choosing a club because it is apart of who you are. Ive grown up in Manchester and the culture of the city is right in line with the culture of the club. You have no valid reason to support united unless your from manchester, other than you like supporting a club that always wins. What will you do if/when united start slipping down the table? And it will happen because it eventually happens to all great teams. You can criticise city all you want but face the facts, at least we support our team and not the team thats usually the most successful. ONE MANCHESTER, ONE CITY, ONE FOOTBALL TEAM!!!
To be fair citys only loss this season came
against utd. That was also their best performance but we almost blew it. City r a decent side give the devil their due.
