Arsenal set to sign Brazilian starlet Zezinho
Arsenal are believed to be close to signing Juventude teenager Zezinho.
The 17-year old Brazilian expects to make the move to England in January after the Gunners and Juventude agreed a fee of around £5million.
Arsenal had two lesser offers rejected but this fee is likely to wipe out the Brazilian outfit’s debts making it a win for both clubs.
Zezinho says his time with his current club is up and that a deal has been arranged for him to join Arsenal.
“My time at Juventude ended on Saturday,” he said. “Until now, I thought that I would continue in the Gaucho, but my agent said that it is impossible.
“He told me that Arsenal will submit a new offer to Juventude – the third in a year, it seems – and this time it will be solved.
“I don’t know about any other interested team. The only proposal is from Arsenal, the others were trials.”
