West Ham confident keeping hold of Upson

West Ham United are confident of keeping hold of skipper Matthew Upson.
The England international has been linked with Manchester City and Tottenham ahead of the January market.
However, the Daily Star says West Ham's owners have insisted they do not have to sell £10m-rated Upson in January despite the club's financial problems.
