Sunderland skipper Cana fears for Euro chances over away form

Sunderland captain Lorik Cana says their European hopes will end unless they can improve their away form.

The Black Cats' push for a Europa League spot is being scuppered by the club's horror run of one win in 17 on the road.

Cana said: "We're better than that and that's why it's so frustrating.

"There's a big gap in our performances at home and away and it's important we find a solution by working harder.

"It's about mentality. Each player has to bring a bit more to the pitch to improve the performance level away from home.

"We're not far from being right, but we need to find a solution quickly."
