Lazio president Lotito hands Ballardini confidence vote

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has handed coach Davide Ballardini a vote of confidence.

The Rome club have not won any of their last 11 Serie A matches.

Lotito said: “The club and the Coach have done their job in getting the best out of this team. If Rocchi doesn't score and then Zarate or anyone else then it's clear that we won't win games.

“Sure the atmosphere doesn't help. The protests against me have never ceased even when we won the Coppa Italia and the Super Cup in Beijing where there were chants of 'Lotito ****'.

“They shut up for a little while, but only waiting for the moment to create new problems.”
