New Palermo boss Rossi: Big changes needed here
New Palermo boss Delio Rossi was left disappointed by his players after their 1-0 defeat by Chievo.
Rossi replaced Walter Zenga this week and already played in the Coppa Italia, beating Reggina 4-1, but his Serie A bow ended in defeat.
“I need to work on every area of the team and not just the fitness levels,” he said.
“We lost, but I saw a side that tried to take the initiative and held on well until 10 minutes from the end, then lost the thread.
“Chievo are an organised outfit, but I was not disappointed by Palermo today.”
The Sicilians have struggled on their travels throughout the campaign, picking up just four points all season.
“If a team does not get many points away from home then I don't think it's a tactical problem, but rather one of confidence and self-belief.”
