Platini again dismisses use of video evidence
UEFA president Michel Platini reiterated he opposition to the introduction of video technology in football.
His comments come following the controversy that was caused by France's World Cup qualifying play-off win over Ireland. Thierry Henry's handball offence was a potentially decisive factor in the match.
The Frenchman however is keen to push through with experiments that are being pioneered in the Europa League, in which extra officials stand behind the goal to help referees and their assistants.
"An extra referee behind the goal would have seen Henry's handball," Platini told L'Equipe.
"Video replays on the pitch? It's a bad solution. We talk about big games, but could we really have 20 cameras in a match between Andorra and the Faroe Islands?
"We must respect fairness in all occasions."
