Hull City boss Phil Brown heaped praise on George Boateng after his performance in victory over Everton this week.
The former Middlesbrough captain has been on the outer this season and linked with a move away.
But Brown said: "George has been out of the team and then he's found himself thrown in on the back of two great performances by Jimmy Bullard.
"I said to George that I didn't want him to be Jimmy Bullard, I wanted him to be George Boateng. Last night was vintage Boateng. His experience was like a shining light out there and he deserved the three points as much as anybody."
