Chelsea are set to beat West Ham United for Livorno star Antonio Candreva.
The Sun says Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola cannot match the financial muscle at Stamford Bridge.
And Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti has moved to the front of the queue for the versatile Livorno midfielder.
Candreva, 22, could plug a gap with Michael Essien and John Obi Mikel heading to the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
He made his Italy debut in the 0-0 draw with Holland 12 days ago.
AC Milan and Juventus have also inquired about Candreva, who is on loan at Livorno from Udinese.
