For a Liverpool supporter to criticize United's supposed dearth of English talent is so laughable it's ridiculous. Your dopey manager's predilection for stacking Liverpool sides with continental players is so rampant that Gerrard is virtually the only player of note who one could deem to be a world class talent - when he's not diving, pulling defenders down in search of penalties, or cheating in every other way imaginable. In fact, if the proposed import rule were brought in tomorrow Liverpool would be one of the team's most severely affected - followed closely by Chelsea. United on the other hand, with the likes of Brown, Ferdinand, Rooney, Hargreaves, Foster, Owen, Carrick, Scholes, and Wellbeck, together with youngsters such as Cleverly, James, Norwood, Brandy, Drinkwater and of course Morrison coming through so impressively at junior level, could not only easily fill the proposed criteria tomorrow if need be, but could virtually field an entire first eleven comprised solely of English players - and quality players at that.
