Arsenal’s Gibbs suffers broken foot

Arsenal have been rocked by the news that young left-back Kieran Gibbs has suffered a broken bone in his foot.
The England U21 international sustained the injury in the dying stages of the Gunners’ 2-0 Champions League win over Standard Liege on Tuesday night as he returned from a foot injury he picked up on international duty last week.
Gibbs was forced to miss Arsenal’s 1-0 loss at Sunderland on the weekend but will now be out for at least a few weeks after fracturing his first metatarsal in his left foot.
"Gibbs has a big hole in his leg,” Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed on the club’s official website.
"It was a very bad challenge by the No 22 and it was not his first try, unfortunately. It doesn't look good for Gibbs."
