Sevilla striker Chevanton training with Atalanta

Sevilla striker Javier Chevanton has returned to Italy and begun training with Atalanta.

Atalanta coach Antonio Conte wants to take a close look at the Uruguay international before deciding whether to sign him in January.

Over the past three years, Chevanton has played little and while Atalanta have agreed a loan deal to June with Sevilla, nothing will be rubberstamped unless the striker convinces Conte of his value.

The deal with Sevilla includes the option for Atalanta to sign Chevanton permanently in June for €5 million.
