Bolton monitoring progress of Blackburn midfielder Reid

Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is eyeing Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid, currently on-loan at QPR.

The People says Megson will keep tabs on the former Ireland star's time in London before deciding whether or not to offer him a £500,000 full-time switch to the Reebok Stadium.

Reid is out of contract at Ewood Park next summer and Bolton could snap him up on a free then. But Rovers could decide to cash in on a player who cost them £1.85million when he joined from Millwall in 2003.
