Rangers tracking Houston Dynamo’s Holden

Scottish giants Rangers are being heavily linked with a move for Houston Dynamo midfielder Stuart Holden.
Reports suggest that manager Walter Smith is already well down the line in discussions with Holden and the Aberdeen-born US international could be up for a free transfer to Ibrox.
It is understood that Toronto FC director of soccer Mo Johnston put Rangers onto the path of Holden like he did with Maurice Edu last season and the fact Holden is keen to have another crack in the UK and his contract expires soon makes a move a likely scenario.
Holden begun his career with Sunderland in 2005 but failed to make the grade at the time before moving back to the USA to join the Dynamo.
