In point of fact, if he'd bothered to check, in season 2008/09 LFC reserves used 35 players, of whom only 4 were Spanish ! Of the 22 players listed in the Youth Squad for this year, 12 are Liverpool and district born, 7 others are English/Scots, 1 Irish and just 2 foreign born ! As Rafa keeps saying, stick to the facts Fergie - you're losing it !

Fergie obsessed with Liverpool again. You gotta laugh. Although to be fair, there is an element of truth in what he says. We do have a large contingent of foreign players, most of which are pretty poor and will probably be shipped out in January transfer window. What cracks me up is the fact he's forgotten to look at his own squad. Yes, there are some young home growns coming through but are they any good? If you look at Neville, Giggs and Scholes; they are all past it. Man U are the same as any other club where they rely on big name foreign players to win them things. Chelsea started the ball rolling and we have been forced to follow in their footsteps to keep up. Most clubs have an academy but the big ones just end up buying in foreign and selling home grown talent. Man U are as guilty as anyone, so I would say to Fergie.
