Laszlo seeks meeting with Hearts owner

Following the 2-1 home defeat to St Johnstone, Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo hopes to hold talks with Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov in the next few days.

Hearts are now ninth in the league table after finishing third last campaign, and Laszlo again lamented the squad he has at his disposal.

"I'd like to talk to the board about everything," Laszlo told BBC Scotland.

"We lost a lot of players from last season and definitely we haven't got back that quality."

The departures of Christophe Berra, Bruno Aguiar, Christos Karapidis and Robbie Neilson have been keenly felt by the Edinburgh side.

Christian Nade's goal against St Johnstone was his first for 23 games, and the club's first after three barren matches.

"Up front we cannot keep the ball, and in midfield they must try to play simple football," said Laszlo.

"Everybody must come out to do more for the team. Some players do not show enough on the pitch."

However, the Hungarian was reluctant to divulge whether he would be able to spend any money on players in the upcoming January transfer window.

"At the moment I cannot give you any answer about that," he replied when BBC Scotland asked him about his New Year spending plans.

And when asked if he would be given time to lift the club from its current league standing, he said: "I don't know, but I would like to talk with the board."
