HENRY IS NOT A CHEAT! Idiots are using him as a scapegoat! If there's anyone that are to be blame, it's FIFA for reluctantly dismissing the idea of video technology! WE NEED VIDEO TECHNOLOGY! If we had that, then we won't face this type of problems.

Btw, Henry did not admit to cheating or anything like that, he admitted to the ball hitting his hand. He didn't admit to the fact that after the ball hit his forearm he lifted his hand up and, literally, pulled the ball in as it was going out for a goalkick.
Watch the replays again, there's 2 motions. The first could be argued as a natural reaction as it hit his forearm but the second one was where he realised the ball was going out of play so he curled his hand around the ball to prevent it from going out. That's not instinct, that's just downright cheating or unsporting behaviour.
Why the hell should we not complain about Henry? If there were no cheating ***** like him (or Anelka who tried to gain a penalty with a dive) then we wouldn't be having these conversations and there'd be no such thing as the Hand of God.
Can't expect the refs and linesmen to get everything right, but at some point you need the players to help them out.
Remember Robbie Fowler won that penalty after a bit of a dive and he then told the referee that it wasn't a penalty? The ref chose to give him the penalty regardless, but if Henry did that against Ireland instead of sprinting to celebrate, THEN I would have some sympathy for the amount of abuse he's receiving now. But he didn't.... he ran around celebrating with his teammates as if he'd done something heroic... well to some, he probably did do something heroic.
The amount of bullshit been spouted is unreal.
Can you imagine if Tiger Woods discreetly picked his ball up that was lying directly behind a tree and tossed it out onto the fairway without anyone seeing... for it to be then found there had been a TV camera watching ihm but it was too late to act on it..
Would it be ok for him, one of sport's most sporting and professional players to come out and say, "well, I'm not the referee, I did pick the ball up and throw it out in order to gain an unfair advantage but nobody seen it.. so what do you want me to do about it now?". That's EXACTLY what you idiots are saying.
It just wouldn't happen, nor would it be allowed. The reason it wouldn't happen is because there's a code that all these sportsmen and women go by in all sports whether it be golf or rugby or whatever... except there's so much money in football that there's absolutely no sportsmanship whatsoever in it anymore. It's disgusting.
You needed to things to win football matches.....FIRST ...you need a team of eleven man ...
.SECOND.......... luck...in henry case its luck on his side..if happen to robbie keane its also call luck..not to be call superb goal or stunning skills

Henry IS a cheat. A natural reaction is when the ball bounces off your arm and you play it, NOT when you catch the ball and, not content with that, flick it onto your boot so you can cross it...and you were offisde to begin with. The fact of Henry being a cheat has nothing to do with whether Duff and Keane would have stopped play had they done it, or whether Keane deserved a penalty in another game for an incident that was not at all similar. Henry ACTUALLY cheated, not once, but twice. Then he blamed the ref for not catching him. When you shoot a guy dead, you're a murderer, whether or not they catch you. When you rape a goat, you're a goat-*****, whether or not they catch you. It doesn't matter that there's nothing to be done about the game. We can all still remember that Henry is a cheat and may have murdered a guy after raping his goat in 1990. He admitted the cheating but I've never heard him deny that he murdered a guy or raped the guy's goat in 1990. Have you?
This isn't going to be over until every Irishman associated with the game has his say. Yes, what Henry did was deplorable, but if Robbie Keane had done the same we'd be dancing a pretty sweet jig, and the French would be beside themselves with anger and injustice, like we are. It's important not to lambast the players, they're going to do what it takes so their nation competes in the world cup, be it ethical or not. He admitted the ball hit his hand after the game, it's not like he's been denying it. The ref messed up, and FIFA screwed us over. It's done now, what needs to be done is to qualify for the next tournament as top of the group, and prevent these seeding issues from ruining us in the future. Prior to the 2002 World Cup, Ireland were ranked 18th in the world, it was just a shame that we dropped 20 or so places since then.
I wonder if he felt the same way after a Robbie Keane handball led to a penalty away to Georgia????
I like Niall Quinn, i think he's a good chairman. But he's unnecessarily throwing fuel to the fire and its irresponsible.
And bare in mind what Damien Duff said after the game to the BBC...,
'If it was myself or Robbie down the other end we'd have tried it ... you just expect the linesman or referee to see it.'
There are a few players in football who deserve to face the firestorm..., Thierry Henry is not one of them!
