Ipswich are keen to bring West Ham United midfielder Kieron Dyer back to Portman Road.
West Ham are keen to keep Dyer but it is understood that he may be interested in a return to Ipswich, where he started his career, joining the club as a schoolboy, says the Telegraph.
He played for his hometown club for three years before moving to Newcastle for £6.5 million in July 1999 and has always retained a strong attachment to the club, hoping to end his career there.
Despite languishing second from the bottom of the Championship after a disappointing season so far under manager Roy Keane, Ipswich are hugely ambitious and have spent more than £7 million on new players in the past financial year.
