New Birmingham City coach Malky Thomson is delighted with his move to St Andrews.
Thomson is looking forward to working with boss Alex McLeish again, more than 20 years after the pair last played together at Aberdeen.
"I've always kept in touch with Alex through the job, watching players and various other things and I'm really looking forward to working with him again," said Thomson to the club's website.
"I was a young pro at Aberdeen when he was a senior pro. Although Willie Miller would have been the captain Alex has always been like a manager.
"If you had a problem at all you always went and saw Alex and he would sort it out.
"He's got strong opinions and demands a high standard from you which is what a club needs."
