How about the fact that the Play Off teams were seeded MID COMPETITION, due to the fact that it looked like France and Portugal might not qualify.... You think Platini had nothing to do with that.... fool. Henry did what any footballer does, acted on instincts, his instinct was to keep the ball in and create a scoring opportunity, can't really blame him. The fact that a week referee was put in place - that's another story.
They say that as if it's a step up for his career... Or as if he wouldn't have any other choices besides the NYRB. It's Thierry Henry we're talking about, not Freddy Adu.
Its not Henry´s task to criticize refs decisions, but at least he had guts to admit the incident. There were three refs on the field and none of them wanted to cancel the goal and thats it. Human errors are part of the game as long as there wont be video replays like in ice hockey.
