I've got an 'h' going spare if you want to use one of mine?
if i had an h in my name i would put it you plank
Jon might need to lay off the strong coffee there, eh mate? I don't think NM's comments can be taken too seriously and he contradicts himself a little later in his piece. The reality is, any decent player playing for WHU at the moment will be linked with any team as we are performing so poorly. In the case of Greeny, he's obviously a very good keeper (though flawed at set-pieces IMO), and at a relatively young age pushing for that No.1 spot. I think that it would take a very strange set of events for him to end up at a "Sky 4" club though one of the emerging Billionaires toys is very possible. It pains me to say it, but to get paid a shed-load more money AND likely to get CL football must be pretty appealing. Saying all of that, I think he's not the sharpest tool in the box - Greeny, a couple of years ago, negotiated a new 5 year contract then a few months later complained in the press that other players were getting more than him... bless 'im
To be fair, I'm a blue and this is cheeky of Martyn. We'd be pissed off if someone in the media said this about one of our players, he shouldn't really be saying that. As for 'Jon', you sir need to calm down and respect one of the best goalkeepers of his generation: much better than this current shower, and go and find the missing 'h' from your name. FIFA should make this kind of journalism illegal to stop players being hawked around for a move by the media: the Rodwell stuff has already started and it's pissing me off. How is anyone supposed to challenge the 'Sky 4' monopoly if any good player is simply poached off. How long are football fans going to pay their money to continue in this seemingly endless cycle? It's not just because Everton are poor either: Spurs aren't immune from it either. It's a disgrace: there's too much money in football and something has to change other wise a whole generation of football fans will be alienated & lost. Football has sold it's soul to the devil and I fear is not far from being screwed. *and relax*
Martyn can fuck off.
I think Nigel Martyn is a little bit jealous of todays footballers and what they can Achieve, as he never really achieved anything, and was to blame for Englands dismal world cup and euro campaigns with some horrendous blunders. I dont even rate green that much, but he is the best in the prem at the moment with no one even close, so he wont leave west ham as he still has it all to prove.
Jon, if Nigel Martyn was playing now he would be England's number one compared to the current crop. FACT!!
chill out jon, Nigel Martyn was not a failed useless keeper unless you rate 20 years at top level plus 23 england caps a failure. crikey - you west ham fans have very high standards. why should he not state his oppinion? why must he only say 'factual' things? that would be very strange journalism if people were not allowed to speak their mind or have their own oppinions. whether you agree with him or not is a completely different matter but at least he should be allowed an oppinion.
Wanker! who are you anyway !!! a failed useless keeper .keep your mouth shut unless you have something factual to say !!! green got into the england team playing for west ham.green was no where to be seen b4 capello got him in ! so why does he have to leave? foster is prone to gaffs, james cant play 3 games in a week and green has never let england down so what is your point?
