Arsenal interest in Misimovic played down by agent

According to the player's agent, Arsenal have not made an approach for VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Zvjezdan Misimovic.

The player's representative, Florian Goll, claims that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has yet to express his interest in Misimovic's services, and that he expects the 27 year old - contracted to Wolfsburg until summer 2013 - to remain in Germany for the foreseeable future.

"Not Arsenal or any Premier League club has talked to me or my partner, I can't say anything about this, I don't know if there is any truth in the rumours linking with Arsenal. All I can say is nobody has called, or contacted us," he told Sport.co.uk.

"Until Arsenal or another club contact me I have nothing to say. He is a Wolfsburg player, and we think for now he will stay that way."
