West Ham United captain Matthew Upson cannot guarantee his long-term future at Upton Park.
However, Upson insists he won't seek a move from West Ham to boost his World Cup chances.
He told the Daily Star: “Whether I stay at West Ham or not is not an issue in terms of the World Cup. If I have to make a decision then I will.
“At the moment that’s not something I think about.
“Like I say, I am a West Ham player and I am focusing on what I need to do.
“If someone puts an option in front of me and I have to make a decision then I will. But at the moment that’s irrelevant.”
