Richards upset over Man City pursuit of big-name right-backs

Manchester City defender Micah Richards admits he's been unsettled by transfer talk of big-name right-backs arriving.

Barcelona’s Dani Alves and Inter Milan full-back Maicon are being mentioned as replacements, while Aston Villa are rumoured to be ready to make a £15m bid to land 21-year-old Richards.

Richards told the Sunday Mirror: “Sometimes it gets me down, especially all this talk about moving to different clubs.

“It’s disheartening to hear of Alves coming in and being the best right back in world – then there are the stories about Maicon. I can’t let it get me down. It’s always going to be like that.”
