Wolves boss McCarthy delighted with Hennessey form

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is delighted with the form shown by goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

Even when Wolves have conceded, which they did four times against Arsenal on Saturday, the Bangor-born stopper has acquitted himself well and earned his manager’s praise.

“Hennessey has been brilliant. He’s 22 and a fabulous goalkeeper,” McCarthy told the Birmingham Mail.

“He’s maturing into a really top-class goalkeeper – he’s absolutely top drawer.

“I just think he’s had a stunning season so far.”
