Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Fri, 11/13/2009 - 07:27
Ben Alnwick is set to step in for Carlo Cudicini after the Tottenham goalkeeper's motorcycle accident yesterday.
Alnwick, 22, signed from Sunderland in January 2007 but has yet to play a Premier League game. He now act as understudy for Heurelho Gomes.
The first of his two Tottenham appearances came last season as they reached the Carling Cup final with victory over Burnley, while the other was in the FA Cup.
England Under-21 star Alnwick was an unused sub in Tottenham's 2-0 win over Sunderland last weekend and should be on the bench again for Sunday's clash with Wigan at White Hart Lane.
