Spartak Moscow defender Martin Stranzl has quit the Austrian national team.

The former 1860 Munich and VfB Stuttgart star won 56 caps for Austria and although he will be a big loss to the national squad, his decision has been accepted by the manager.
“I respect Martin Stranzl's decision and accept his retirement," Constantini said on the Austrian federation's official website.
"I wish him lots of success in his career."
