Central Coast Mariners have secured promising youngster Matthew Lewis for a further season.
The 19-year old was impressive in his A-League debut on the weekend when the Mariners demolished reigning champions Melbourne Victory at Etihad Stadium, coming close on a couple of occasions to marking his first appearance with a goal.
The Sydney-born winger was delighted to have signed a one-year contract extension and is excited about his future prospects with the Mariners.
"It's great news, I love it here, so it's exciting I get to play another year here," Lewis said.
"It's good that the gaffe (Lawrie McKinna) has kept looking at me, and I just have to keep working hard now, and try to stay in the team."
