Uh, what? In what world are these socialists better than Buffon? Who is, and has been, the worlds best.
Milan slipped goals past Casillas with ease, and his errors were terrible. Even Julio Cesar and Petr Cech are better than either of the socialists. Spanish are so arrogant and conceited.
I don't think Casillas is THE BEST goal keeper in the world but he's right up with the World's best!... He played the major part of probably the last 3 seasons with no defence coz Real never had one... so i'd give him the credit he deserves... Valdes isn't even in the same league as Casillas!!... keepers like Casillas, Shay Given, Peter Schmichael, Petr Cech (prior to head injury), Van der Sa can be spoken about in the same breath... so too Oli Kahn... So Laporta should rethink his comments...
it's called giving your player a confidence boost... keepers need plenty of that. as dumb as this is you can't deny him of his right to try and help his player perform better.
Laporta is known to believe in his own paid advertisements !!!!!!

no neither of them match Reina standard. Never seen Iker punch a ball and I see him make many howlers Valdes makes less howlers but can't punch either. Reina can do everything, better throwing, shot stopping, organising, punching, more brave etc.

laporta is the craziest president. how can valdes be world no.1 when it is only barca's defense saving his ass. if valdes were madrid's goalie, we wud be conceding >5 goals per match... CASILLAS IS NO.1, NO DOUBT, even buffon & non-madrid fans can say that. laporta is *****!!!! he's so ***** bias. LOVE BARCA BUT DON'T DENY ABOUT IKER BEING THE BEST, IT'S A FACT. so casillas is the 1 who deserves first choice in Spain. losers!!!!!!
Now i know that Laporta is on some cheap drugs! If i train for 2 weeks i'm sure i'd be able to edge out Valdes from the Spanish team.
Valdes has made a steading progress and no way he is as bad as many would think, he is second to none in close range reflex saves and one on ones. He may not be as great as Casillas but he has conceded dozens of goals less than Ikerman during the last 6-7 seasons but its true that he has to face much less shots per season than Casillas who(according to ESPN Soccernet) had in 08-09 125 saves compared to Valdes´ 60. Anyway I am glad that Barca didnt buy a new gk last summer, it would have been waste of money
