i agree with you that hes not an idiot manager who wont change his formation if he needs to, but this is his preferred formation. i cant see him changing it just to accommodate one player, who no matter how much promise he has shown is still a young player with potential rather than a supserstar. look at zhirkov (spelling) he is supposed be a fantastic winger and left back yet if he plays he plays in the diamond. and by they wont expand i meant the width of their pitch, firstly im not sure how big there pitch is but there are limits, but the other aspect of widening your pitch if you dont play wingers would leave your team exposed for a quick counterattack and allow players to put in crosses and stretch the team.

"they wont expand"?? 4-4-2 diamond is only the blues current default formation. but it still changeable depend to which opponent they face.. CA is not an Id1ot manager to stick with one formation..

Romans soldier altho I agree with some of your analysis it is more likely he will come to
united if your points are true, for one we have history and more so of creating stars especially wingers, secondly he won't fit into the system at Chelsea and since they have a compact diamond midfield they won't expand the pitch as that would expose them.

LOL... Man City Could outbid anybody for anything... however Huges has bought rubbish, can't manage to save his life and the proof is in the eating... and Man City are eating their way further and further down the table.
We all know about Manchester Weather and what a hole parts of it are... more than other places in the UK.
The emphasis is on Could.... of course they could outbid, but if Di Maria is as classy as they say, then he is going t want to go to a classy club and unfortunately all the money in the world will not make Man City Classy.
Chelsea would turn Di Maria into the World Superstar he craves to be.... (if they widen he pitch at the Bridge to matchhis flair).

dimaria is d bomb

De maria, b4 u thnk of comin near man-*****, look at robinhos case n rethink ua move, thts nthin bt a wasteland of futbol, welcome 2 chelsea

If manchester city, chelsea, manchester united or any other english club want to land this fine player, they'll have to wait for the end of the season and also, they'll have to pay the full clause. Angel Di María is one of the most tallented left wingers in the world. He's just 21 years old and already an Argentine national. Pay up. Benfica!!!!
